Most of the calls we get are small. A toilet that will not stop running, a faucet that drips, a disposal that hums, a valve under the sink that weeps. This is the work we do every day.

The job
How it goes
The truck carries the parts these jobs need, so a repair is usually one visit. Fill valves, flappers, supply lines, angle stops, cartridges for the common faucet brands, a disposal. We look at what is wrong, tell you what it is, give you the price, and fix it while we are there. If it needs a part we do not carry we tell you what it costs before we go and get it.
A repair also gets a look at the things around it. If a toilet valve failed because the house pressure is too high, you should know that, because the next valve will fail the same way. If the shut-off under the sink will not shut off, it gets mentioned. Nobody here works on commission, so nothing gets added to the list unless it is worth doing.
You get the price before we start, every time. Repairs are our time plus parts, and if a job turns out bigger than it looked we stop and give you the new price before going on.

A cartridge or a seat. Repaired on most brands; replaced when the body itself has worn.

The disposal hums and does nothing
Jammed, or the motor has gone. A jam is cleared on the spot. A dead unit is swapped.

An angle stop or a supply line. Cheap, and worth doing before it lets go.

Pressure, or a loose line. We check the regulator and secure what is banging.

Before anything starts. Repairs are our time plus parts, and the bigger jobs get a written bid. Nobody here is on commission.

Small repairs are usually done the same visit. Bigger jobs get a start date and a number of days, and we hold to it. Done to code, permitted where it needs it, the house left the way we found it.
Common questions
Things people ask about plumbing repairs
- Do you fix it the same visit?
- Almost always. The truck is stocked for the common repairs. If your fixture needs a part nobody carries, we tell you the price and the wait before ordering it.
- Is it worth repairing an old faucet?
- Usually, if the body is sound and the brand still makes the cartridge. If it is a no-name fixture from a big-box store the cartridge may not exist, and replacing the faucet is the honest answer. We say which before doing anything.
- Can you replace a toilet with one I bought?
- Yes. Bring it home and we set it, with a new wax ring, new supply line and new bolts. If you want us to supply it, we can.
- What if the problem is bigger than a repair?
- We stop and tell you. A dripping faucet can turn out to be a pressure problem, and a slow drain can be a line under the yard. You get the new price in writing before we go further.
