Dan’s job notes

What brought us out.

The second-floor hall bathroom at this Santa Monica home needed work on the shower/bath controls and trim. Dave handled this one for us. He installed a new Moen Posi-Temp cartridge and chrome trim kit, along with a new chrome drain cover and trip-lever plate.

What we did.

The cartridge is the working part inside the valve that controls the water. To complete the installation, he opened the wall on the other side of the bathroom and fitted an access panel. That gives access to the plumbing through the panel for future work.

During the visit, he also adjusted the left-hand drain at the double sink for proper flow.

The total for everything we did on this visit was $1,800.

A bathroom repair should address how the fixtures work as well as the parts you see.

No more cutting drywall.

The access panel sits on the other side of the wall from the valve. The next repair starts by opening the panel.
