What brought us out.
The gardens at this Malibu home needed a new drip irrigation setup with an automatic timer. Dave and I handled the work across two visits.
What we did.
We installed the front-garden system and routed a line to the north garden from under the house. We also ran the wiring needed for the timer and connected its electrical supply from the outlet at the front of the house.
Drip irrigation delivers water through small outlets near the plants, while the timer lets watering run on a schedule. We added more drip heads in the orchid house as well.
While we were there, we extended a front-yard gutter downspout to direct runoff farther away from the house.
The total for everything we did across the two visits was $3,512.56.
Getting water to the plants and rainwater away from the house takes attention to both systems.
