What we collect, where it goes, and how to have it changed or deleted. Last updated October 7, 2026.
Who we are
Dan's Plumbing Inc., 2352 Hillsbury Rd, Westlake Village, CA. A family plumbing shop. Questions about this page go to Dan at danny@dansplumbing.la or (805) 330-3111.
What we collect
- When you call or text. Your phone number and whatever you tell us about the job.
- When you fill in a form. Your name, mobile number, town and a description of the problem, plus which page and ad you came from. It goes straight into Housecall Pro, the software we use to schedule jobs. Our web server doesn't keep a copy.
- When we do a job for you. Your address, contact details, the work done and what you paid. That lives in Housecall Pro and in our bookkeeping software, QuickBooks. Card payments go through Housecall Pro's payment processor. We don't store card numbers.
- When you browse the site. Pages viewed, the ad or search that brought you, your browser and device, a rough location from your IP address, and taps on the call, email and booking buttons. The tools that collect this are listed below.
Cookies and ad tools
The site uses these outside tools. Each one sets cookies or similar identifiers and follows its own privacy policy.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Count visits and see which pages and ads bring calls. Our Analytics account is linked to our Google Ads account.
- Google Ads. Tells us when someone who clicked our ad then tapped to call or sent a request. Google may use this to show our ads to people who've visited the site.
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. Do the same for our Facebook and Instagram ads. Our server also sends Meta the event, the page address, your IP address, your browser type and Meta's own cookies. We don't send Meta your name, phone number, email or anything you type into a form.
- Google Maps. The map on the contact page loads from Google.
- Housecall Pro. Some request and booking forms are hosted by Housecall Pro. What you type there goes to them and to us.
How we use it
To call you back, schedule and do the work, send invoices and keep warranty and tax records. The browsing data tells us which ads and pages are worth paying for.
Who we share it with
Only the companies above, our bookkeeper, and anyone the law requires us to give it to. We don't sell your information and we don't trade or rent customer lists.
Our own Google Ads tools
We connect our own software to our own Google Ads account to read reports and manage our ads. It only reaches our account. It isn't offered to the public, and it doesn't collect anyone else's Google data.
Your choices
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site still works.
- Turn off personalized Google ads at myadcenter.google.com, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Change your Facebook and Instagram ad settings in your Meta ad preferences.
- The site doesn't change what it collects when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
Email or call Dan and we'll tell you what we have, correct it, or delete it. The exception is records we have to keep for taxes or our contractor's license, like invoices.
How long we keep it
Customer and job records stay as long as we need them for warranty, tax and license purposes. Browsing data is kept by Google and Meta under their own settings.
Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this page, the date at the top changes too.
