What Agoura Hills
is plumbed with
Old Agoura kept its acre lots and its raised foundations. That has its advantages, because there is a crawlspace and a leak is something you can get to. The difficulty is distance. Water and sewer runs are measured in hundreds of feet, some parcels are still on septic rather than a sewer main, and when a long run fails it tends to fail somewhere in the middle. Working out where the fault actually is takes longer than the repair.
South of the freeway, Morrison Ranch and Liberty Canyon were built in the seventies and eighties on slab, and they behave like the rest of the valley. Copper coming to the end of its life, slab leaks, and pressure regulators that stopped working properly some years ago without anyone noticing.

It started as a slow shower drain. While there we traced the copper under the slab and found a leak. Brought in the leak-locating specialist we work with to mark the spot and the post-tensioned cables, saw-cut and jackhammered the closet floor, found a pinhole in a one-inch copper line and replaced the section.
