Common questions
Things people ask
- What areas do you cover?
- Westlake Village, east Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills, Oak Park and Lake Sherwood: zip codes 91361, 91362, 91301 and 91377. Most of it is ten minutes from the shop. If you're just outside, call and ask.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. We're a California C-36 plumbing contractor, CSLB #339618, bonded and insured. The license number is on the truck and every invoice.
- How does pricing work?
- You get the price before we start. Repairs are our time plus parts. Remodels, repipes and additions get a written bid. Nobody here works on commission.
- Who comes to my house?
- Dan, or the plumber who works with him. That's the whole company. If something isn't right, Dan is the one you call.
- How fast can you get here?
- Often the same day in the towns around the shop. Tell us what it's doing and we'll give you a time. If it's actively leaking, shut the water off at the main first.
- What are your hours?
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Dan answers when he can. If he's under a house, leave a message and he'll call back the same day.
- Do you handle after-hours emergencies?
- No, we're not a 24-hour shop. If something's leaking at night, shut off the main and call us first thing in the morning.
- Is the work guaranteed?
- One year on our labor and thirty days on drain clearing, plus the manufacturer's warranty on any part we install.
- Do you pull permits?
- Yes, whenever the job needs one: water heaters, gas lines, repipes and remodel plumbing. It matters when you sell the house.
- Do you install tankless water heaters?
- Yes, swaps and conversions from a tank. On a conversion, the gas line sizing, venting and permit are most of the work.
