The job
How it goes
We use a cable machine: a small one for sinks, tubs and showers, and a drum machine with a cutting head for the main. If there's a cleanout we run from there, so nothing goes through your toilet or across your floor.
Grease clogs kitchen lines and hair clogs tubs. Once it's clear we run water and watch it, since a half-cleared drain is back in a month.
Main lines are different. Roots get into old clay joints, cast iron scales up, and sagging sections hold water. If your main has backed up more than once in a year, we'll put a camera down it and show you what's there.

- Should I try a chemical drain cleaner first?
- No. It sits on the clog until someone opens the trap and gets it on their hands, and it eats older pipe. Try hot water and a plunger, then call.
- Why does my main line keep backing up?
- Clearing removes the clog and leaves the cause, like roots, a low spot or a crack that catches paper. A camera shows which.
- Do you have to go through my toilet?
- Not if there's a cleanout. We run the cable from there, and if you don't have one, we can add one.
- Is the clearing guaranteed?
- Yes, thirty days on the line we cleared. If the clog is a symptom of something bigger, we'll tell you.
