Dan’s job notes
What brought us out.
The bathroom at this Los Angeles home was getting a new widespread faucet supplied by the owner. Dave handled this one for us. He installed the faucet along with a new P-trap and pop-up drain assembly.
What we did.
The pop-up assembly controls the sink stopper, and the P-trap beneath the sink holds a water seal that helps keep drain odors out of the room. Those connections matter just as much as the faucet you see above the counter.
He tested the installation afterward. The faucet ran well, and he found no leaks.
The total for everything we did on this visit was $350. The faucet itself was supplied by the owner.
Getting the connections right underneath the sink is part of a proper faucet installation.
The trap keeps smells out.
The bend under the sink holds a little water that blocks sewer gas. A new trap went in with the faucet.
