Dan’s job notes
What brought us out.
The outdoor drains at this Los Angeles home needed clearing, with roots and dirt building up in several lines. Dave and I worked through the patio and side-yard drains and cleaned the front and back gutters.
What we did.
We removed roots and dirt from the patio drains and the east-side lines. We also tested the west-side drains and found they were draining to the street without any issues.
One front-yard line still needs attention. We could get the snake as far as the front lawn, but couldn’t get past a particular point. Excessive roots, a collapsed pipe, or a combination of the two could be involved. We recommended digging up that area and replacing the affected section; that replacement wasn’t part of this visit.
The total for everything we did on this visit was $1,800.
Clearing what we can and being honest about what still needs repair are both part of the job.
We know where it stops.
The snake hit something under the front lawn it couldn’t get past. That’s the spot to dig up and replace next.
