Tank replacement and tankless conversion. On a conversion most of the work is the gas sizing and the venting, which is where cheap quotes tend to come up short.

In Thousand Oaks
Gas work on the east side of Thousand Oaks lately has been outdoor kitchens, fire pits and upsizing for tankless heaters. In December 2025 we ran a new one-inch line from a meter to a rooftop deck and pressure-tested it at 10 psi. In June 2026 a gas smell outside a dining room turned out to be a hole in a half-inch galvanized pipe underground. Every line is tested under pressure, permitted and inspected.
Streets and pockets we work in: Lang Ranch, Sunset Hills, North Ranch, the Westlake side of the boulevard, the older tracts off Erbes Road.

The job
New lines are most of it. A gas line out to a built-in BBQ or an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, a pool or spa heater, a range where the kitchen used to be electric, a dryer, a generator. Each one is sized by the appliance's BTU rating and the length of the run, in black iron or approved flexible pipe, with a shutoff at the appliance. The whole system is pressure tested, the permit is pulled and the inspector signs it off before the gas goes back on.
Leaks are the urgent version. If you smell gas, leave the house and call SoCalGas from outside; they come out free and shut it off. After that the repair is ours. We find the leak with a pressure test and a detector, fix it, test the whole system again and give you the paperwork the gas company wants before they relight.
The third kind of job is upsizing. A tankless water heater, a bigger range or a pool heater can draw more than the existing line can carry, and the fix is a larger line from the meter, sometimes with a meter upgrade from the gas company. We size that from the total load on the house so nothing downstream starves.

Work in Thousand Oaks
Removed a tank heater and installed a condensing tankless unit in its place. While there, capped and pressure-tested the fire pit gas line at 10 psi for fifteen minutes and connected the owner's fire ring.
On the Westlake side of town. Excavated and found a hole in a half-inch galvanized gas pipe. Replaced the horizontal run, restored the gas and found a second leak where the pipe enters the house, so shut it down again for the next stage.
How it goes
Danny picks up when he can, and calls back the same day. Tell him what it is doing and where.
We come out, find the cause and show you. In plain words, with the part in our hand where there is one.
Before anything starts. Repairs are our time plus parts, and the bigger jobs get a written bid. Nobody here is on commission.
Small repairs are usually done the same visit. Bigger jobs get a start date and a number of days, and we hold to it. Done to code, permitted where it needs it, the house left the way we found it.
