Dan’s job notes
What brought us out.
The kitchen gas line at this Venice property needed to be stubbed out for the stove. Dave handled the piping work, leaving the connection point for the appliance.
What we did.
During the visit, he also found the water heater was not strapped. He secured it using the existing straps. Those straps help restrain the tank’s movement; they are part of the installation that should not get overlooked.
The total for everything we did on this visit was $380.84.
It is worth paying attention to the connections and supports around the appliances, too.
Strap the heater.
California calls for straps on every water heater, so a full tank can’t tip in a quake. These straps were there but not in use.
