Around here
Slab leak repair in Oak Park comes up mostly in the earliest phases, where the original copper under the floor is old enough to start leaking. You'll notice a warm patch underfoot or a meter that turns with everything off. Once the leak-locating specialist we bring in marks the spot through the slab, it's a spot repair or a reroute overhead.
Neighborhoods: the Kanan tracts, Lindero Canyon, the streets off Oak Hills Drive, Sutton Valley, the newer tracts up Bowfield.

The job
A slab leak is a water line leaking under or inside the foundation. Soil, concrete, high pressure and hard water all wear the copper thin, and hot lines go first.
We isolate the line with the meter and gauges, and the leak-locating specialist we bring in marks the spot within a foot or so, plus any post-tensioned cables. A spot repair opens the floor there and replaces the bad section. A reroute abandons the line under the slab and runs a new one through the attic, leaving nothing in the concrete.
One leak on a sound line is a spot repair. A second leak within a year or two means the pipe is done, and a reroute beats opening the floor again. We'll tell you which you've got.
Call if
01
A hot line leaking under the slab.
02
A pressurized leak. If nothing's visible, it's usually the slab.
03
Water coming up through the slab.
04
Hot water's leaking out, so the tank never catches up.
05
The line is failing. Time to talk about a reroute.
