What brought us out.
The bathroom addition at this Malibu home needed vent piping for the sink and toilet. Those vents let air into the drain system so the fixtures can drain properly.
What we did.
Dave and I installed the new vent piping, extended it through the roof, and secured the connections. We also installed waterproof flashing around the roof penetration to help keep rainwater from getting in where the pipe comes through.
The total for the work billed on this visit was $1,500. This was one stage of a larger bathroom plumbing project, so that price covers this portion of the work.
The pipes you don’t see every day still need to be done right.
Good drainage needs air, too.
Vent piping allows air into the drainage system. Flashing around the roof penetration helps keep rainwater out where the pipe passes through.
